Disney+ and Hulu are more integrated than they’ve ever been before. With the acquisition of Hulu, and the rollout of Hulu on Disney+ back in March 2024, the two services have slowly become one. Even with that new integration, it still made sense financially to have one service or the other right up until the price hikes in 2024. All of the Hulu subscriptions increased in price just enough that you’ll only save $1 a month by not bundling now.
I myself got sucked into a streaming bundle last year when the price increases first arrived. As someone who watches various shows on Hulu, Disney+, and HBO Max I couldn’t justify paying for any of those individual subscriptions after prices went up. And with new popular shows coming to Hulu this month, including a new season of King of the Hill and Alien: Earth, I think it’s worth reiterating that a standalone subscription just isn’t worth it anymore.
Hulu Bundle Pricing for 2025
Like I mentioned above, the bundle pricing for Hulu and Disney+ is only $1 more than a standalone subscription. So if you’re thinking about subscribing, you’ll definitely want to consider the bundle before you do. Here’s a quick breakdown of the solo pricing vs. when you bundle.
- Hulu Basic – $9.99
- Hulu and Disney+ Basic – $10.99
- Hulu Premium – $18.99
- Hulu and Disney+ Premium – $19.99
In terms of monthly cost, you’d only really be saving $1 by getting the Hulu subscription by itself. If you really have no reason to watch anything on Disney+, then you can still get the individual service for less, but it’s pretty hard to pass up the best deal in streaming when its right there in front of you. There are a few other Hulu bundles available, but this one offers the best value overall.
Consider the Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle
If you’re coming in blind to all of the streaming bundle options it’s also worth noting that you can choose add on an HBO Max subscription for only $6 more for the basic tier or $10 more for the premium one. This is generally a great way to cut down your monthly streaming bill if are already paying for two of these services.
This is the bundle I currently have and found that switching over to it from separate subscriptions was fairly easy to do. These days I’m mostly streaming things on Hulu and HBO Max without ads, which would cost me $36 a month if I were paying for both of them separately. The bundle pricing here saves me $6 on those two services alone while also adding access to Disney+.
Unfortunately, there aren’t currently any bundles available for just Hulu and HBO Max, so this is the best deal around if you want access to both.
